Kolkata Knight Riders clinched a their third victory of this IPL in as many matches when they defeated Rajasthan Royals by a huge margin of 8 wickets with 37 balls to spare at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It was a sorry batting display from Rajasthan Royals as they collapsed to 81 all out in 15.2 overs despite having a couple of big players in Shane Watson and Ross Taylor. L Balaji did most of the damage for KKR taking three top wickets while Shakib Al Hasan captured two wickets in two balls.
KKR couldn't just smash away towards the target as the bowling from Rajasthan Royals which included the likes of Shaun Tait, Shane Watson and Shane Warne wasn't easy to handle at all. Skipper Gautam Gambhir had to drop anchor to steer his side to a safe victory by remaining unbeaten on 35 from 35 balls. Manoj Tiwary put up an unbeaten 54-run stand with him by scoring an unbeaten 30 from 26 balls.
